About
I earned a Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology with minors in Journalism and Pre-law because I’m fascinated by human interaction, the mysteries of consciousness, and the mental trappings of philosophy. As a young professional working with VR Headsets and various user interfaces at Meta Reality Labs, I applied these interests to assessing user experiences with technical hardware, software, and digital solutions, as well as the ethics/inclusivity of machine learning algorithms and hardware prototypes.
When I felt I’d outgrown my position at Meta Reality Labs, I moved on to contracting with REEA Global to create the foundations for a UXR team and execute mixed methods User Experience Research for clients to improve their digital products. Now, I manage the UPMC Ophthalmology Community Outreach & Remote Access Programs (CORAP) at the UPMC Vision Institute, applying my research project management expertise and technical background to remote access and tele-health projects designed to provide vision services to underserved communities and produce implementation research deliverables so other institutions can replicate our efforts.
I’ve always believed in an equitable future, donating 25-50% of the proceeds from my online thrift store (The Cheap Cheap) to restorative justice organizations in the Pittsburgh area in undergrad, spurring the creation of the Date Diversity Program at Meta Reality Labs, and now faciliating low to no-cost vision services throughout Steel City.
Originally from a rural village in Pennsylvania that you’ve probably never heard of, I’m now based in Pittsburgh. I adore the arts, especially sustainable fashion, film, music, and literature. My other hobbies include Peloton, yoga, being outdoors, writing music, and spoiling my two tabby cats.
